If you are in the mood to experiment with cannabis cooking, why not start with a delicious recipe for all-around canna-goodness first thing in the morning or anytime you feel the urge for a delicious THC-infused breakfast food?

Muffins are one idea. But if you feel like a bit more of a batter-infused treat, try this recipe for pancakes out.

  • CANNABIS FLOUR BANANA PANCAKE¾ cup of regular flour OR cannaflour (5/8 cup of marijuana plus ¾ cup of flour)
  • 2 tbsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • Coffee grinder or mortar
  • ¾ Cup cannamilk
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 bananas (mashed)

INSTRUCTIONS

If you decide to make this recipe with cannaflour, you need to make your marijuana flour first. Completely clean your marijuana for all seeds ensure the bud is bone dry. Grind the marijuana as finely as possible and mix with the flour. If you do this ahead of time, you can store it, but make sure all the ingredients are sealed in an airtight container

  1.  Preheat your griddle or frying pan on medium heat.
  2.  Mix your dry ingredients – the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a large bowl.
  3.  Using a separate bowl, combine the oil, bananas, cannamilk, egg and water. Mix thoroughly.
  4.  Combine the wet and dry ingredients by pouring the liquid mixture into the dry. The mixture should appear a bit lumpy.
  5.  Grease the cooking surface slightly and then pour batter into the pancake size of your preference.
  6.  Cook until you see bubbles on the surface of the pancakes and then flip. Wait about another minute and then remove from the heat.
  7.  Another idea is to slice the bananas and fry them separately as a topping. Slice them into quarter inch chunks, lightly grease the pan, and fry until crispy brown on both sides.

Serving suggestions: Add a topping of nuts, a sprinkle of cinnamon and of course, a drizzle of warm syrup or honey.
