What's worse than the sight of an empty stash jar? Mouldy buds! When indoor growing spaces get too humid, or persistent rain continuously soaks plants outdoors, fungal diseases strike. They look like fluff to the naked eye, but you certainly shouldn't smoke mouldy buds. To avoid such disappointment, you need to select disease-resistant strains.
You can correct overwatering and nutrient deficiencies, and even remove some pests by hand. But fungal pathogens present a much more serious problem. Mould remains invisible in the early stages. By the time it makes an appearance, your flowers are likely overrun with spores that you don’t want getting into your lungs. There are several ways to defend against such diseases when growing weed—including opting for disease-resistant genetics.
Several traditional strains have gained recognition for their ability to stave off plant pathogens. However, the advent of F1 hybrid cannabis genetics has given growers the most powerful weapon yet in the war against mould. These cannabis varieties are created by crossing two inbred parent lines. This intensive process creates uniform offspring that are better equipped to deal with an array of pests and diseases, including the dreaded Botrytis. 1. Hyperion F1 Hybrid Cannabis Seeds
The mighty Hyperion F1 gets her name from a Titan of Greek mythology. Much like these fabled beings, this F1 hybrid cannabis cultivar also puts up a heck of a fight. Equipped with hybrid vigour, this variety boasts impressive resistance to myriad sources of stress, including drought, cold bouts, pests, and virulent diseases.
Hyperion F1 genetics descend from Amnesia, Lemon, and Sin Tra Bajo inbred lines. After creating this cultivar, our breeders conducted several trials and found that she demonstrates impressive resistance to Botrytis—a systemic mould infection capable of wiping out entire cannabis harvests.

2. Apollo F1 Hybrid Cannabis Seeds

Our breeders created this vigorous autoflowering variety by first developing pure inbred lines descending from Lemon, Black Domina, and Sugar Magnolia genetics. 3. Power Flower
Power Flower is derived from original South African dagga genetics and is renowned for her social, buzzy, and talkative high, despite her indica dominance. She is the result of crossbreeding parent strains Original Power Plant and White Widow, a pairing that passed on powerful mould-fighting qualities.
Smoking a bowl or joint loaded with this strain with leave a pleasant taste of pine on the taste buds. Power Flower is recognised as a competitive cash crop due to her fast flowering times and massive buds that form an enormous towering cola when left untopped.

4. Orion F1 Hybrid Cannabis Seeds
Just as eye-catching as the constellation that sits on the celestial equator, Orion F1 shines bright in a market filled with traditional genetics. This autoflowering variety charges from seed to harvest in a matter of weeks, and her impressive disease resistance means you’ll cross the finish line with no mould in sight.
This tough cookie inherited her hybrid vigour from pure inbred parent lines that stem from Blue Mammoth Auto, Blue Dream, and Amnesia. Together, these gene pools passed down large quantities of THC and a complex mix of terpenes, including myrcene, ocimene, and farnesene. On top of this, Orion F1 also offers small levels of CBG.

5. Northern Light
Northern Light is a well-known name within the cannabis world, a strain famous for her indica purity and intense high. A huge bonus to growing this strain is her high resistance to mould, a trait that can put growers at ease during the flowering stage, knowing that she is quite capable of withstanding this threat.
Northern Light produces a high level of THC alongside a medium level of CBD, making her high stoning, relaxing, and euphoric. These qualities make her an ideal smoke for the evening hours when unwinding after a day of work. Each toke of this strain is accompanied by flavours of sweetness, fruit, and spices.
Indoor plants grow to heights of 100–160cm and put out yields of around 500–550g/m². Outdoor plants grow taller to heights of 180–220cm, producing good yields of up to 625g per plant. Northern Light has a flowering time of 7–8 weeks, and outdoor plants will be ready for the axe in late September.
