Title : Nice plant and subtle high
Comment : I grew this strain in a Virginia outdoor garden starting in May and harvesting in October. As stated, it takes a long growing season, grew 6 ft using LST which it handled well. I did lots of trimming of leaves regularly and had to use support towards the end of the season due to the large buds pulling down the stems after a rain. I didn't fertilize much, since it was in my garden anyway, and it didn't seem to need it. I reduced the nitrogen at the end during flowering. and just added ample phosphorus and potassium for bud formation. In short, a very hardy plant that handled the stress of a drought mid season and heavy rains in the latter part with no issues. I ended up with 1.5 pounds dried 70% bud; 30% close trimmings. The description is pretty on target: "a balance that gives rise to an energising, subtle, and uplifting high." Those looking for a strong THC high, should look elsewhere. This could easily be used in a joint to share with others, like in the old days. Three hits of this was good (as a casual smoker) and one can do activities, but I wouldn't drive on it. I was very interested in testing this strain, but don't know if I'd order it again, as there are numerous others that don't kick one's ass and are very enjoyable. I had a good picture of me standing next to the "bush", (it takes up space) but I didn't see a way to upload it. Worth a try if you have the space and time.
The difference between the regular THC and the THCV seems to be that there is no lethargic feeling when it starts to wear off and it seems to curb "the munchies". Also, it is a perfect daytime strain, and when gaming seems to be a different focus; more immersive.
Title : Growing pretty fast
Comment : I first tried these in very small pots, then I put it in a big raised bed with organic dry amendements, cover crops... After some days of transplant shock the grow exploded. On some days the plants grew more than 2 inchs. I switched to flower a few days ago so we will see what's next...
Title : Awesome!
Comment : After 11 weeks of flower and 3 weeks of drying and curing I can give a review: It makes you feel like you're flying without being too stoned. I really like the effect of THCv and it should be in every serious cannabis connoisseur collection :-)
