Obtain Accurate pH Readings, Fast
The HI-98107 pHep pH tester provides fast and accurate pH readings. The easy-to-use device is designed for non-technical users, and can help both novice and advanced growers measure water pH.
By measuring water pH, growers can ensure they’re not disrupting the balance of the soil every time they hydrate their plants. Hydroponic growers also need to test the pH of their water reservoir to keep plants healthy.
The pocket-sized device fits comfortably in the hand and features a protective cap. The pHep is entirely waterproof and designed to float, so no worries if you drop it into the depths of your reservoir. The dual-display LCD screen provides measures of pH and temperature side by side.
After pressing the “CAL” button, the meter will prompt for the 7.01 liquid. Once recognised, the meter will prompt for the 4.01 liquid.
Once calibrated, place the meter into the water you intend to measure for an accurate reading.
Over time, the cloth junction will become unreliable. Pull at the material until a fresh piece is exposed. This trait dramatically enhances the lifespan of the tester.
The pHep boasts a lithium-ion battery that provides a staggering 1,000 hours of continuous use. The device can also work between temperatures of 0–50°C.
Water pH is a frequently overlooked, yet vital, aspect of growing cannabis. Optimal pH levels allow plants to uptake nutrients correctly. If the growing medium is too acidic or alkaline, the roots won’t be able to do their job.
Plants grown in soil require a water pH of between 6–6.8, whereas hydroponic plants require somewhere in the range of 5.5–6.5.
