When does the germination stage end?
A white taproot will appear and push down into the soil while the shoot heads up toward the light source. A pair of cotyledons will emerge from the seed casing at the end of the shoot and will start absorbing energy from the light above.
After around two weeks, your seedling should have started developing its first sets of true leaves, which typically have 5–7 fingers.
Once these true leaves appear, the plant is no longer considered a seedling and has officially entered the vegetative stage, where it will begin to grow more vigorously.
