Royal Cheese Fast Flowering produces dense and frosty buds in no time at all. As one of the fastest photoperiods available, she ploughs through the flowering stage in as little as six weeks. Unusually swift for a photoperiod strain, her impressive brevity has won over many growers that usually opt for autoflowering varieties. She combines great productivity and stoning indica effects with a short and sweet growing period. What’s not to love?

ROYAL CHEESE FAST FLOWERING: GENETIC ANALYSIS

Royal Cheese Fast Flowering features a closely balanced genetic profile of 60% indica genetics and 40% sativa. The strain stems from the Cheese lineage, which has a rich history and made a massive impact on modern cannabis breeding. Alongside White Widow and Kush, Cheese occupies the pantheon of cultivars that cannabis users all over the world know and love.

Cheese genetics first emerged in the United Kingdom in 1988. Breeders obtained Skunk #1 genetics from across the pond, which was first introduced to the Netherlands by a Cali breeder known as Sam “the Skunkman”. The underground team received a seed packet from the Netherlands that contained a particularly “cheesy” batch of genetics. After honing and refining this pleasant trait, Cheese soon swept across the country and became one of the most popular cultivars to smoke and grow within its borders.

Still popular in its original form, breeders all over the world now use Cheese genetics as a foundation to create exciting new varieties. Our skilled breeding team at Royal Queen Seeds created their own feminized version of this classic cultivar, making it ideal for home growers in pursuit of dank female flowers every time they grow.

Throughout the breeding process, we aimed to draw out one trait in particular: speed. Photoperiod strains provide great yields, but sometimes take a while to flower. We selected and crossed the fastest specimens and landed on a truly rapid flowering time of 6–8 weeks.

GROWING ROYAL CHEESE FAST FLOWERING

Royal Cheese Fast Flowering boasts hardy and durable genetics. She’s a go-to strain for those seeking a reliable and consistent yield every season. Take a brief look through her family tree, and it won’t take long to stumble upon landrace genetics such as Afghani and Colombian Gold.

These ancestor varieties proliferated in harsh climates and thus feature great durability. And indeed, Royal Cheese still holds these impressive traits. She’ll grow just about anywhere and deals with temperature fluctuations, pests, and pathogens like a champ.

These speedy varieties put out gorgeous flowers in relatively large quantities. Her buds are compact, frosty, and colourful. Expect to see an explosion of deep purple, light and dark green, and yellow during the later stages of the flowering phase.

If you’re planning on growing this strain indoors, you’ll have a lot of control over how busy and tall she becomes. If you have a large enough grow tent, you can let her peak at a height of 100cm and put out an abundance of lateral growth. She'll generate one main monster cola and plenty of secondary flowers. Expect a yield of 450–500g/m² after only 6–8 weeks of blooming.

If you’re low on space, top and train your plant early to keep specimens at a height of 60cm. These techniques will also produce a more balanced and aerated canopy filled with equal-sized flowers.

Plants grown outdoors are capable of thriving in diverse environments, from the heat of the Mediterranean to the cooler temperatures of northern Europe and Canada. These specimens will grow to taller heights of 130–200cm and produce a rewarding return of 550–600g/plant. Prepare your trimming and drying space for harvest in early October.

EFFECTS, FLAVOUR, AND AROMA OF ROYAL CHEESE FAST FLOWERING

Royal Cheese’s closely balanced genetic profile and array of unique terpenes contribute to a multifaceted high. Sure, her indica dominance guarantees a heavy body stone, but her significant sativa genetics endow the experience with an ambient cerebral buzz.

Her resinous flowers produce an average THC content of 17%, along with medium levels of CBD. She occupies the middle ground when it comes to potency. She won’t catapult your mind into another dimension, nor will she disappoint. She makes a perfect smoke during the day or night to ease tension, elevate the mood, and bring the mind into a relaxed and meditative state.

You’ll notice your body become looser after each toke. Once you’ve burned down an entire joint, you’ll find yourself teetering on the boundaries of euphoria. Sweet, cheesy, and earthy tastes infuse every hit. High levels of the terpene caryophyllene contribute a peppery taste to the fold, whereas limonene adds an element of citrus and a slightly stimulating effect. Myrcene brings up the rear with tastes of earthiness and relaxing properties.

ROYAL CHEESE AUTOMATIC

After experiencing the wonders of Royal Cheese, our breeding team played with the idea of creating an autoflowering version. It didn’t take them long to manifest this into reality. Royal Cheese Automatic carries the best traits of her predecessor into the world of autoflowering genetics. The original’s delightful tastes and stoning high are now available in an easy-to-grow autoflowering package.

The team struck gold after breeding Royal Cheese with Royal Critical Automatic and a ruderalis strain. After playing around with this combination, they produced an autoflowering replica of the original cultivar.
